I tried the Enduro 3, and wound up returning it, because it felt a little cheap, and I am not a big fan of the new UI. Also, the watch faces are nothing to write home about, and there are far less of them. The MIP display was a little easier to see than my fenix 7x pro SS, but still had to hold it at certain angles to see it clearly, because of the reflections.
I decided I wanted an AMOLED display, and was thinking of getting the fenix 8 51mm sapphire, but I don't dive, and I really don't need to talk on my watch, or listen to my watch. I have a cell phone for that stuff. Also, I noticed in the specs of the fenix 8 that it now says the back is metal, and no longer says titanium (like in previous versions), and that makes me think that Garmin is starting to use cheaper materials for some reason.
This new UI is in it's infancy stage, seems to have issues, and may take 6 months to a year to mature. All devices have their issues, but I think Garmin devices are at the top right now in terms of features. I have tried Suunto, Polar, Coros, Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, and none of them have the features of Garmin watches.
So, I decided to go with the Epix Pro 51mm Sapphire. The screen is great, the bezel and back plate are titanium, it has good stock watch faces, and it's accurate.
I notice people on this forum complain about Garmin devices more than any other forum for some reason. To that, I would say... Go try a Suunto, or a polar, or a Coros, or an Apple Watch, or a Galaxy Watch. You will see that they all have their glitches, but none of them have all the features of a Garmin.
