Will the Epix series get an UI update to the fenix 8 style?

Just watched a review on the Fenix 8 and love the new UI style. Will the Epix pro get an update to that UI style?

  • I can't find anywhere that says what grade titanium AW Ultra / Ultra2 uses. I'm guessing AW Ultra and Fenix/Epix all use Grade 2, but I can't confirm that. Apple only says that their titanium is "aerospace grade", which is just marketing jargon, all grades of titanium are "aerospace grade" depending on the aeronautical application it's being used for.

  • it always is like this

  • I think this is marketing, Garmin did not specify on the epix gen 2 pro 51mm any kind of titanium used....

  • And thanks to those forums user replying quickly for the most important scientist test for the communty Nerd

Similar CPU since 2021, based on benchmark results

Please Garmin, do some effort and focus on software quality with only one System for all your watch with active support.

  • Well, I also feel disappointed about not getting the new features from Fenix 8 if tgey could be easily implemented.

But much more important for me it's that Garmin starts working hard to solve all those software bug issues.

But my hope has gone. I don't trust this company anymore. Finally I won't buy again any Garmin device!

Hope their sales decline in that way they take of their customers!

  • Are you still here.
I was thinking that you already switched to iWatch.

  • I don't get a refund from Garmin for their broken software and I don't have limitless amounts of money. Having spent that much money for the Epix Pro and not getting a refund for that software broken watch I can't just spend another 800 € for a new apple watch ultra.

Is that so complicated to understand?

  • I've already wrote earlier how you can fix issues with your watch but I see you prefer to complain instead of find solution.
That way you always will be miserable complaining how things you bought are broken.

  • Well, as far as I remember you told me to install an old firmware version from an unofficial source I don't know!

    I told you:

    1) I use GarminPay and I won't install unofficial software. That's a security issue with firmware from an inofficial source!

    2) I have a 2 year warranty which will only be valid as long as I use the official ways intended by Garmin. Is this an official way from Garmin to install firmware from unknown sources? No. If yes tell me the official site from Garmin with official rollback information. Anyway this "solution" would bring back some of the old software issues which have been solved with actual firmware.

    3) As I said in 2) this brings back the bugs already solved with the actual firmware. Your "solution" would only bring the possibility to outweigh the older firmware versions and the actual one for the severity of the bugs they contain. It's not a solution.

So, the only way for Garmin to solve those software issues is to release a new firmware version with solutions for those severe bugs contained in the actual firmware.

Just why do you think that I as a paying customer can't expect a mostly bugfree software, at least with a software that is working as expected for the advertised main functions.

It's like a delivered car for me which doesn't drive because of a defective software. It's broken as it is and Garmin should repair it.

Why is it so hard to understand my expectations to get a working product from Garmin? I don't get your point!
