Is the 316l SUS bezel, on PART NUMBER 010-02804-21, a coated stainless steel?

I’m interested in getiting an epix Pro (Gen 2) – Standard Edition | 51 mm - Slate Grey with Black Band (PART NUMBER 010-02804-21) and had a question regarding the bezel material.

the watch is stamped with 316l SUS and advertised as stainless steel, is the bezel coated?

The standard, non-pro model also has a stainless steel bezel but a much brighter colour so I got a bit confused.

interested to hear people’s experience of how this model has held up over time. My experience with a DLC coated watch was… meh but this particular model has caught my eye.

I have that model, have had since it first came out. My experience is the bezel has held up fairly well. There are a few small shiny sections right at a sharp edge, but overall it has kept its appearance. Garmin’s website lists simply “stainless steel” for the bezel. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/905283/pn/010-02804-20#specs

However, like you said, the color is definitely darker than the standard version.

In the image below, please note the lighter shine at 11 o’clock and 5 o’clock are reflection — not wear or scratches.

I’m not sure where you’re writing from, but in the US, it is model 010-02804-20. The UAE (and others?) model ends in -21. Maybe differentiates ECG availability, since currently only available in the US?

Im based in the UK and have read online that the ECG isn’t available here, but I don't know how correct that is.

Your watch looks great, I look the uncoated Ti version but not a fan of the white case/body. Bezel weight doesn’t really bother me.
