What seems to be broken
I've seen a few threads for 17.23 freezing up when connecting to WIFI but for support's sake, I thought it might be a good idea to get any/all of the users on 17.28 who are also experiencing this problem.
The long and the short of it is that any time I attempt connect to WiFi for any reason, the watch freezes up and has to be reset. This includes activities like: checking for software updates, saving an activity, and downloading music.
What I've done to fix it
Back in July I reached out to support for help with this issue first on phone and then by email. I spent hours resetting my watch, reinstalling, and making and uploading videos for support. After I did all of that, I reported the issue was still present and I got no response back.
Today after weeks of silence I called support and they asked me to enroll in the beta program. Today I've spent hours, have tried out multiple garmin branded cables, downloaded and synced with Garmin Express, but I can't access the garmin folder on the device so I can't sideload the beta. Hopefully I can get this resolved soon.
Is every Epix Gen 2 user on 17.28 dealing with this same issue?
