Maps accuracy during a activity is waaaay of.

When i´m in a activity and look at the map my gps tracking is way of, maybe by 100-200 meter. I have done two runs close to a lake. On both those times i were running on a big road. The map showed the gps tracke out in the water. Didnt even see the road. After when i look att my phone the garmin connect show me the exact location on the map. The gps tracking was then spot on my the meter.

How can that be?

Solved.

Deleted topo maps in /GARMIN folder. Then downloaded it again.

Now it seems to work just fine.

Check the power mode. There's a bug that reverts Power Mode in the running app to "Normal" regardless of your settings. Load up the run app, before you press top right to start the run, hold down the middle left button, scroll down to Power Mode and, assuming it says "Normal", change it to "Max Accuracy". If this is the issue you're having, then you'll have to change this setting for every run until Garmin fixes the bug.

Probably to map on the watch does not have to road on it, or you just don’t have the right map on your watch.

As you can see on the picture I added the road does exist but I just not on it.
I have the Topo maps installed they are updated. Don’t know what can go wrong there.

There's also an option follow track or similar in the navigation settings in running. If that's activated it will correct your position to the next road or track also during a run I think. If that's off on your watch it might be that the position was measured as it was shown and later it is corrected by the garmin connect app. Might be that there's a similar setting which will correct your position to the next track?

Just an assumption. But I think that I have read about a similar issue about this in the forum.

Anyway, if it's like that your position would be measured wrong and corrected to the next track. But that would be several 100 meters according to the 800m bar shown on your watch. That's really way off.

Haven’t changed anything and the map function has been working flawless until now.

a good test to know if it relevant to your watch GNSS location or a map issue should be to compare the actual location with your smartphone a mate with similar watch.
