double tap zoom / how to go back to initial path

On several occasion while hiking, and using the map with touch screen , I inattentively create a destination point that screw up ( read remplace) the path course I had loaded and was following..

I could not find a way to revert to my loaded path and had to stop save restart the hike to have my track..

May be I clumsy but this happen to me  very often .. your are moving you try to navigate the map and bub you douple tap by mistake ..  so I ended up turning off touch during activity...

I would like to know Id there is a way to cancel the 'go to newly created point after double taping by mistake" and revert to initial path.. that is easy and does not involve stopping saving the activity ?

  • I think you can select the initial path again

  • It often happens to me too if I understand correctly, but with the back button you should cancel the operation

  • you don't have to stop your hiking activity to stop/start navigation.

At any time while in an activity that allows for navigation you can long press the menu button (left middle) which will take you to that activities options - second option down is navigation if one is not running - if running navigation then first option is to stop navigation. Then just press start button to go back to activity if it doesn't automatically take you back.

If it was a route that you were running, that got changed, then can always go back and pick up original route from navigation. If while navigating and you have a route and it keeps on recalculating the route, but you don't want it to do that i.e. you want to do the exact route you set even when you go off route, then change the routing settings for that activity - go into the activity settings, look for routing and go into that - and under the courses option select follow course. If set to use map - then it will reroute you based on your calculation method each time you go off your route - which can mean depending on the calc method that it will create a new route for you.
