Map stuck on queued

Hello, I have recently got myself a Epix 2 pro sapphire. I have used the express app on the laptop and downloaded USA and updated Europe maps. But when I go onto the watch and map manger, USA says nothing, but Europe says queued, I click on it and i only get the option to cancel the download. Anyone has this fault as its really starting to annoy me.

Thank you Blush

  • I have an Fenix7 and have the same problem. I saw a lot more posts from users with this problem.

  • I had this same issue, from my Garmin express on PC-  after it didn’t update, I went into the watch, enabled WiFi and did an update again from there.  It seemed to work as eventually the queued message went away and the map appeared on the watch and I could see it updated using file manager and looking in the garmin folder on the watch from my PC.  It seems to take some time and unsure why this happens.

  • EXACTLY the same problem on Epix 2 "pro". Have tried everything. Using Map Manager to update (so updating over wifi) also does NOT work. COME ON GARMIN. I am navigating on a white screen of death here, resorting back to map and compass. Ridiculous.

  • I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the map update. For this, there are a few steps I would recommend trying:

    • Be sure Garmin Express is on the latest version.
    • For map updates and downloads, we recommend using a hi-speed "wired" internet source, as opposed to Wi-Fi.
    • Garmin Express is not meant to be used with Mobile Broadband connections.
    • If you are using Wi-Fi, ensure this is a Private network.
    • Be sure you have sufficient data speed. This may require you to avoid using the network for anything else during download.
    • If you have not already, I recommend powercycling the computer.
    • You can also try Running Garmin Express as Admin.
    • If this issue continues, try uninstalling and reinstalling Garmin Express.

  • Thanks for the update, still the same. No change :(
