Open water swim GPS

Did an Open Water swim with GPS active. From point A to B it said 54 m. I swam right back to point A and now it said a tital of 202 m. It lloks like it added an extra loop to the swim. Is the GPS that useless for swimming?

How did you swim? *** stroke? Freestyle?

***, I had similar issue yesterday with swim. Walk an Un seems to be pretty precise with GPS
