Trailrun over 20 hours does not sync on Strava and trainingpeaks

Hello, I use trailrun for my ultra runs and it seams that long over 18 19 hours does not sync with Strava and trainingpeaks and if I want to download the gpx and the gpx file it s very small and can't be used on manually upload on Strava and trainingpeaks. But on Garmin connect you can see all detailles and info and track.

Thank you!

  • Since everything on the Garmin side seems to be working, sounds like you should be asking Strava and trainingpeaks about your concern.

  • Garmin has the problem. Because when you want to download the gpx it has 0.38kbs so very small for a 23 hour activity. But on Garmin connect is visible with everithing track and data. That is why it does not go to Strava or training peaks. Even when I try to insert manually on Strava or TP it shows error on Strava or nothing on it on TP. This is why I guess is from Garmin side. And this happened on long run 19 hour and 23 hour respectiv.

  • Hello

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. You mentioned when exporting the activity from Connect it is very small. If you export the original instead of the GPX, is this successful?  You can also test the exported activity, by importing this to either the Garmin Explore app on your smart phone or computer, or BaseCamp on a computer.

If the exported file will not upload, it is possible there may be some corruption in the activity file itself. Have you had this problem with any subsequent activities you have recorded?

If so, I would recommend removing any potentially corrupted files from the watch. This will help avoid this occurring on new activities you are recording.

    1. Connect the watch with a Windows computer
    2. Open the Watch drive
    3. Open the Garmin folder
    4. Delete the contents of the following files: Activities, Courses, Workouts, Locations, Remotes SW, and New Files
    5. Disconnect the watch from the computer

After disconnected, I would recommend completing a hard reset on the watch. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again.
