Organizing Courses on Epix Pro Watch

Hi,

  1. Is there a way to organize or re-arrange created courses once they are uploaded to the watch?  I have over 50 courses and when I create a new course, I have to scroll down through almost all of them to get to the newly created one.
  2. Is there a way to organize or re-arrange created courses on the Garmin Connect web interface?  I have to do the same as above to get to my newly created course.  I realize I can "Sort" or "Filter" to easily get to the courses, but it would be easier to have it come up on top.  Edited courses (I consistently edit courses) don't get put to the top when sorting, as it sorts by date creation and not last edited.
  3. What would be be best way to organize courses?  Ideas?  I have 5 geographic locations in which I have courses.  At the moment, I'm using Date, location and type of activity use for this course.  eg.  2024 June 5 - Scarb to Mall - N wind - Sprint - 5:15/km - 7.5 km.  Of course I would like to add more information, but this gets truncated on my watch anyway, so I really need to cross reference my Garmin Connect with what is on my watch.

Thanks

  • What would be be best way to organize courses?

One option is to use the Garmin Explore app. There you can sort your courses, waypoints and so on into libraries and select what you want to synchronize with your watch. This way you only have what you need on your watch and don't have to search for it for a long time.

For example, you could create a separate library for each destination. If you are traveling to Canada, for example, you only transfer all data relevant to Canada to the watch. If you then travel to Germany, you only transfer this data to the watch. The whole thing is done simply by clicking on checkboxes and then synchronizing.

A big advantage of Explore is that you can transfer data that is available in the app to the watch completely without a network or internet. All you need is a Bluetooth connection between the watch and your phone.

  • on my old Fenix 6 Pro it was organized by alphabetical order, i do not understand it is not the case for F7/E2.

  • On the 7 series, the data is sorted by distance to the last recorded GPS position.

  • This is a great option!!!!

Downloaded it this morning and have played with it for an hour.  Looks like it talks only to the watch.  Here's my scenario.

I like to create courses using Garmin Connect on my Windowz computer.   Works great!

    1. Sync the courses to my watch.  (now on my watch)
    2. Sync Explore with my watch. Now course in Explore.  Names are truncated there. Can edit the name with full description! Great!
    3. Go back to Garmin Connect online and the changes don't show up.

This app would be great if it were part of the Garmin Connect app.

I will play with all the possibilities for now.

Thanks, this is a good option to organize all my courses.

  • Just found the website interface by hitting Map.  This is starting to look good!!!

Gonna dig into it a little more this week.  I think I spend more time planning then running...
