  • Hello

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. I am also using the Epix Pro with 17.23, but not having this issue. My double tap is still activating the flashlight. So for this:

    • Are you able to activate the flashlight through the Controls menu? (holding the Light button)
    • Does the Light button respond in general?
    • Since this stopped working, have you tried completing a hard reset? For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again.
  • Hello Laurie,
Im able to activate flashlight  through Controls menu, no issues with this.
I notice is happenning before while using a non-stock watchface (downloaded from connect IQ)
Now it seems fine but the response is laggy , mean i pressing double tap but flashlight turn on after 3 seconds or so it happens ramdom .
    Regards
    M

  • same issue here,  using non-stock watchface from connect IQ with taticx 7 oled,

when the page on watch face and screen on , double-tap can't active flashlight,

if on other pages , or when screen is off , the double-tap works

  • Same issue here too. - you've given this same answer in a number of posts about the problem and it doesn't seem to have worked for anyone. Can someone over at Garmin please take a look at this and get us a real solution? I'll be honest, that flashlight is the sole reason I went for the Epix2 Pro over the regular model and its unacceptable for such a flaw to exist in a wearable at this price point.

Doing a hard reset does not work. What other solutions exist?

    Thanks.

  • The solution they provided is based on assumption that it is software glitch. It may be hardware failure as well. Write directly to Garmin support and request that they fix it or replace the watch.

  • It has been reported that when using a CIQ watch face, you may need to use a slower double click to activate the watch face. The alternative would be to use a preloaded watch face on the watch. I would recommend testing to see if this is what you are experiencing.

If the button clicks continue to not activate the flashlight, without CIQ watch face or with delayed button presses, please feel free to contact me via Private message. We will research this further.

  • I switched back to a preloaded watch face and it resolved my issue.
