Bluetooth headphone disconnects during activity

Since v16 I'm having a lot of headphone disconnects during activity, it seems to occur randomly, sometimes after 15 minutes, sometimes after 30 minutes

Only way to get music back on is to turn off the headphone and then turn it on again and start the music, it will connect and all is good again until the next disconnect

Went back to shokz and they replaced the device but still have the issue :(

Borrowed an epix (gen 2 non pro) with v15 and did a few runs with my headphones, no issues at all! is there a way to downgrade my v16 ?

Also tried the hidden menu option "maximize compatibility", makes no difference

Epix Pro 51mm, headphones: shokz openrun pro

I experience the same issues,regardless of using Airpods 2 pro or B&O Beoplay E8 Sport.Contacted Garmin Laurie but no answer so far

this fixed it for me after searching for hours about this all day

Go to your System > About menu
- press the top left Light Button 8 times
  - Go to the very bottom
    - select the option to reinstall the software.

ah nice I didnt know that option, for now I am running with my non-pro epix on v15.77, also raised a support ticket with garmin : << Ref: 27378229K0 >> <Q#:1010250>

I had issue before 16.22 with my Sena headset. Currently I’m still on 16.22 (didn’t update to 17.23) and Bluetooth is ok. Depending on headphones you are using there could be a firmware update of your headphones that could solve the issue.

17.xx encounter an issue with Bluetooth, not exactly this one but it is suspect.

got replacement from garmin via RMA, came with the v15 firmware, bit reluctant to update but did it anyways, now on v17, issue is resolved

I do now get the twice connect bluetooth issue but that's not a big hassle
