The Last Recovery/rest Step in Daily Suggestion Activity Interval

When I do the Daily Suggestion activity interval, there is no rest/recovery step in the last interval. Instead it goes directly to cool down step. Sure, it does not matter and have no impact to the training because I just can take the rest/recovery and ignore the alert "too slow" :) Just curious, why can't the developer just add the last rest/recovery step before the cool down step.

  • In Garmin Connect, when you add run+rest repeats, it ends with the rest phase (because that's what you've asked it to do). If you search the forums, you'll find many people complaining about the last rest phase and asking why the workout doesn't skip it. Slight smile

Clearly people have different opinions on that final phase. Garmin seems to have chosen (by accident or by decision, who knows) that the pre-programmed Daily Suggested Workouts skip the last rest phase (since they know it's a rest phase and nothing else), but user-created workouts with repeats follow the repetitions to the end (because the last phase could be anything).

  • I see. Garmin choose the others. And I have to make peace with the "Too Slow" alert then, until the cool down step Slight smile

    Thanks, for your reply.
