Hi,
I am new to Garmin Watches, so how are you meant to use the Navigation activity with an imported GPX file?
I have all the routes for the Wainwrights walks in the Lake District and previously generated / used them with OS maps.
Now I have the Epix (gen 2) and want to use the navigation activity with the imported GPX files (via connect) so I can follow the route on my watch.
I have tried to do this twice and both times after saving the activity it reports it wrongly, the last one was yesterday, it was about a 5.5 mile hike up and down two fells and should have took about 5.5 hours.
It was reported as about 1 hour and 2 miles, with all other data only present for the 1 hour duration, the route had recorded correctly in the map.
So for the two I have done so far, I start Navigation, select the course and then follow the course and then ultimately save the Hike at the end.
or should I start a hike then navigate a course and select the correct course?
Any help on the above would be appreciated.
