Can't manually end sleep to start activity on Epix Pro v16.22

Works for me. I sometimes get up before sleep ends to run. Pressing top right brings up the option to end sleep, the morning report after a few seconds, then the activity list. Have you tried ending sleep manually from the control loop - long press top left

I can turn off sleep mode, that does work, but it doesn't end sleep, so I still can't start an activity.

I have to add that selecting the ok tick on the "End sleep?" screen *does* end sleep mode, but the prompt screen won't go away. I have to press the back button to return to the watch screen. Selecting the x mark also will not make the prompt screen go away. I can verify that the watch still thinks I'm sleeping by scrolling to the sleep score glance, which will say "Sleeping".

I have tried turning morning report on or off, but the behavior stays the same.

Ain't you just impatient and pressing the Back button too quickly? When I stop the sleep by pressing the Start button, I am prompted to end the sleep, and when I confirm, it takes a few seconds before the sleep is closed and saved, and before the Morning Report generates in the background, and only then the list of activities appears. 

I've also tried letting the end sleep screen stay on after pressing the ok tick. Eventually it will revert back to the watch face, but still doesn't end sleep. If I press the start button again, the end sleep prompt reappears.

So does it end the sleep or not? 

It ends sleep mode (so the watch face returns to normal), but it does not end sleep.

I also found a bug report in the beta forum of a user that experienced the same even after shorter sleep periods:

Hi, did you fix this problem? I'm awake for 4 hors, and fenix 7 says that i'm sleeping and can'ts start activity :(

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with not being able to end sleep. For this, I would like to collect some details of what you are seeing, so we can help research a solution. 

• If you have not already, I would recommend trying a hard reset on the watch. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again. 
• I would also confirm that your sleep schedule you have set is accurate as possible.
