Rotating start/stop button (top right) garmin epix ( gen2)

My partner had recently bought an Epix (gen2) and the start stop button rotates is this normal or a fault with the watch ?? Should he return it ?

You found the hidden feature! You turn it two times clockwise to initiate the detonation timer, once counterclockwise to cancel it. Best of luck, 007!

Really it's normal for it to spin though, and it doesn't do anything or serve any purpose. It just spins. Normal behavior, not broken, still waterproof.
