Distance as a audio lap alert

How can i get audio lap alerts to tell distance instead of time? No matter what i set to lap alert screen, audio alert is telling the lap time even the screen shows the distance (or what ever i set there).

I tried this with several activities with same results but target is to get it working on with snowboarding activity, so that when i finish the lap (run in this case) i would get audio prompt telling the distance to my earbuds.

Or should this be even possible? I read from somewhere that whatever is set to lap alert, audio lap alert is saying thay as well?

Did you try to setup the lap mode as "Auto position" instead of "Auto distance"?

From what i understood you want to mark a lap once you complete a course(starting from point A and finishing at the same point A), correct?

Still not sure it's what you need as i don't understand why would you need a distance instead of time.

If you split the activity by 1km(or whatever you choose) it's because you want to compare same distances to see how you did among those splits.

If you're doing different laps on the track....the distance is always the same and not variable so not sure why would you need the distance as an audio prompt.

What i am trying to achieve is to get an audio alert saying the distance of last run in snowboarding activity. So after the auto run (when it is working again, hopefully soon) stops the run when i am in a lift going up, i would get audio alert telling the distance of that last run. This information can be seen from a watch but with all gloves/jacket etc on it is not ok solution.
