EPIX Gen 2 Connection to Windows 11 FIXED. Tried 2 cables, ports and reinstalling drivers etc etc. Didn't recognise device fully (only as GPS device). Changed setting ON THE WATCH system settings to USB mode "Garmin" (not MTP), and now works. Other advice differs, but this worked for me - now Express sees the device.
Initially got Garmin device in device manager with driver 2.3.0 installed. "Best driver installed" it said. Downloaded from Garmin site, and installed with no change. In fact the driver install files seem to include more than one driver USB, and something called 1200. Tried both. In the end changed the setting on the watch as above, and works. The EPIX appears as a drive (not MTP), and oddly, no device showing in device manager. If someone can explain why my mileage is different to other advice, I would be less jittery! Cheers.
