How do I setup\calculate intensity minutes per day . Looking for 40 minutes of any physical activity every day .
Once that’s done . Will GC close that intensity minute for that day , like Apple Watch closing exercise ring .

In the Garmin Connect app:
> ,,,more
> Garmin devices > select device
> Health & Wellness > Goals > Intensity minutes.
In the Garmin Ecosystem this is a weekly goal and your watch will let you know when it is completed provided that Goal Alerts are set to on.
I did setup intensity minutes watch face . Today I did strength training and intensity minutes are still 0 .
Are there specific exercises which make the intensity counter move .
Hi.
If you go here:
> Garmin devices > select device
> Health & Wellness > Goals > Intensity minutes.
You'll see you're probably using Heart Rate Zones to help calcualte intensity minutes. Default is:
zone 3 = moderate intensity. (each min in zone 3 counts as 1 intensity minute)
zone 4 (and up) = vigorous intensity (each min in zone 4 & up counts as 2 intensity minutes)
You can affect this by either changing which zones constitute moderate and vigorous, or you can adjust the heart rate ranges of the zones themselves.
The bottom line is you have to get over a certain HR for your effort to contribute to intensity minutes and so weight training may not get you there. The intensity minutes more monitors your levels of aerobic/anaerobic training (think running/swimming/cycling etc).
