AllTrails, and why there is no integration with Garmin?

Garmin does allow 3rd party providers to sync courses straight to your watch from the 3rd party website. It's up to that 3rd party provider to integrate it.

PlotaRoute has this feature: Just link your Garmin account to your PlotaRoute account on their website, save a trail to your favorites list (by clicking the star button) on their website, and it automatically gets loaded onto your watch next time you do a sync.

I don't pay for AllTrails, but I thought the paid version of it did have similar functionality. Maybe I'm wrong though. In any case, it's an AllTrails problem to solve, not a Garmin problem.

Right, and I have an AllTrail plus subscription =). Nice! I'm going to try this!

Last night noted it was an option from AllTrails but at a cost. A better way for free is if logged in to the basic AllTrails account, simply download the route as gpx and import in Garmin Connect as a new course and send to your device.

Click the "More" button (see below) and then select "Download Track", select "GPX Track" and press OK.

I don't have an Alltrails paid membership, it lets me download tracks by following those steps. Just tested it to be sure.

This is on the Desktop web browser version. The mobile app might be different.
