PLEASE HELP!!

I don't know if my epix 2 has an issue or not however I have been in strain for over a couple weeks.  I've been taking it easy per watch instructions but I'm beggining to crawl out of my skin not being able to lift or exercise.  I had covid back in  November and ever since my numbers have been in the toilet.  No real changes in diet or anything and last night I had a sleep session that would typically score me in the 80's or 90's ended up being a 55.  HRV and body battery has been low and no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to rebound.

It seems to have come about when they did the past couple software updates.

Is there a way to recalibrate the watch or reset?  I'm about to buy another watch.  It's  not even a year old.

Mike

  • I made a new account and started from the beginning,

I had the same problem for 3 months

  • Same here, it was starting to worry me. I've just kind of ignored those settings because of it. it sucks because i was sing them regularly when training for a race and they felt pretty accurate to my actual body feel

Well I ignored the numbers and just crushed a 90 min lifting session.  Maybe time to upgrade to an epix 2 pro.  Kind of disappointed.   This watch isn’t even a year old and it’s obviously garbage.

  • oh mine is an epix pro2. mine has been amazing except for this one thing recently. im pretty sure yours isnt garbage, sounds like just software needs fixed up

  • Me too. On Dec 2 I had a bout of food poisoning, was treated for it. But ever since my stress and HR have been very high, and consequently my BB and Training Readiness very low. How low? The latter was 1 (not a typo) two days ago. This morning, after what I objectively assess was a decent sleep, it was 20 and my BB reached all the way up to 32. Each evening its in the single digits.

During the week prior to all this, my stress was in the teens and 20s and BB in the 90s,even as I was recovering from severe jet lag after flying from Vancouver to Istanbul.

Despite the bottom of the barrel numbers, I feel fine. I'll probably go for a run this morning.

  • Interesting to see this.  I'm on the latest FW.  My stats have all crashed the last couple months.  HRV is poor, Training readiness has been 1 or 2 some days.  Status Strained.  Sleep rated Poor, recovery low.   All according to the watch.

However, I feel fine, and I'm doing the same running workouts I usually do.  Typical pace, time, and distance.  HR is what I usually see on a run,  I tried cutting back how often I run, and the stats are all still bad.  I'm going to go back to my normal routine now, because the watch stats aren't matching reality any more.

Everything I feel and observe is normal, but the Epix 2 shows me falling to pieces.  Glad to see I'm not the only one.

  • Have you been able to resolve this? Same problem here and still ongoing. Seems in my case to be related to recording excessively high stress levels for no apparent reason, thus everything downstream is low, such as sleep, training readiness, body battery. It's so annoying to continuously see numbers in the toilet, even though I feel fine, so I've shut down all related metrics. Consequently, it's just a sports watch now, not a health watch. If I can't get this fixed, my next watch definitely won't be a Garmin.
