Both have the same software/functions.  The Pros also support the flashlight and HR/ECG sensor.  The Epix Pro 51 also has the larger battery from the Enduro 2.  If you are looking at the 47mm version, then the you'll have to decide if the flash light and ECG is worth the $300 bump.  Personally, I love the flashlight and would hate to do without it.

Yes there is.  Read this review of the Epix Pro or watch the video.  He talks about if it's worth it to get the pro over the non-pro.  A ~$200-300 difference isn't to be ignored.

Besides different sizes, a flashlight, there is the ECG functionality.  But for my self, I'd only try it once or twice and never use again.  So for me, it's just the flashlight and bigger size than my Epix 2 47mm non-pro version.  Cra cra to spend $900 just for those two things.  Oh well, I'm sure I'll still be first in line when the Epix G3 comes out in about a year.

I think your decision largely depends in what your heart tells you.
Sounds silly, but there it is:
It's a watch you'll wear probably 24/7 and look at I don't know how many times a day for the next couple of years. Will each look at your brandspankling new piece of hardware give you satisfaction as in: Glad I've spent the money, this is exactly what I wanted to have and I splurged a bit on it.
Or regret as in: Damn, I wish I'd spent those extra bucks. I feel like I missed out on something.

If you can afford it - by all means get the Pro. You'll not regret it. Really.

On a side-note:
I couldn't live without a flashlight, so Ive been edc'ing loads of mini O-lights, Thru-Nites,... you name it. I've more or less spent
the price difference between the pro and the non-pro epix on batteries and flashlights I've destroyed in the washer.

Difference in price is not reasonably worth difference in features between non-pro and pro watches. IMO, pro watches are too expensive and non-pro are finally getting to more reasonable price point. 

But it is well known fact that these watches are not bought only for objective reason, so take your pick based on your priorities.

For me, improved HR would be more significant (but it is incremental update), ECG is not needed, flashlight not needed although I imagine it might be useful, battery is just fine on non-pro. Thus, I see no reason for buying pro. But your wants/needs may be different.

only other difference currently not mentioned are the Pro watch faces.

So apart from watch faces and ECG the software is the same.

Currently there are two beta versions: non pro and Pro (due to the ECG).
