Epix 2 Pro -- 15.68 now has trees and other details in golf like S70 - nice!!

It's beta software so not available to the wider public for a few more weeks.

Really?!? I would be quite happy if that is true. Garmin is just so (annoyingly) peculiar with how they roll things out. The latest 15.68 Beta notes do NOT mention adding trees, instead just these 2 vague golf fixes for potential issues:

Fixed potential issue where golf maps would draw incorrectly.
Fixed potential UI issues on the golf map.

Whereas in the Summer 14.3x firmware release notes Garmin explicitly stated:

Added tree drawing to golf on Marq 2

Which, at that time, seemed not like a case of "potential issue with no trees on EPIX" rather (another) intentional-yet-infuriating choice by Garmin to micro partition features between watches that all (ostensibly) share the same exact firmware versions (Marq gets trees; but Epix NO trees for you!)

This is the one I’ve been waiting for!

Fixed issue causing dog symbols to not show up on the map.

Maybe they were vague about adding trees because they didn't want the dogs to know about them?

I am really liking the new BB look. Also like how we can now pan through HR (or did that come a while back and I missed it).

Also really like the added font size - makes all menu & system items just so much easier to see - but still very workable with size of screen.

new moon phase widget looks awesome.

Menu flow and connectivity to different settings just seems so much better - being able to access more settings from widgets and where settings are in different areas having them better linked  together. 

Audio prompts for course points - does that mean we now get spoken turn directions?

not really had a chance to check out anything else.

Dislike - had an issue with notifications not pulling through - but rebooting watch (again) and phone reboot solved that issue., but I am not seeing images from my email  (gmail) - haven't had an opportunity to check whatsapp etc. Or chance to check if can do full replies. 

Update: Ok while can't see images in email, they do come through on apps like whatsapp - though does seem like a minor delay. Still not found a way to do a custom full reponse - but maybe limited to texts only.

Shouldn't this discussion be in the Beta Forum?

if we were discussing issues around the beta - maybe - but this is more a case of discussing what is in it - the purpose is to let non-beta users, or those debating whether to load or not (as currently retreive not push) to give them an idea i.e. informative.

If I wanted that info, I would go to the Beta forum for it.

Yes.  I wouldn’t have posted if I didn’t see it with my own eyes. I am not at the course at the moment but here you go:

I knew that some of my fellow golfers were wanting this when 14.xx came out, so I wanted to let folks who otherwise might not go into the beta forum that this addition was made.  Feel free to ignore this thread if it bothers you that it isn't in the beta forum.
