Backstroke detected as breaststroke

During the pool swimming activity the Epix watch detects the Backstroke as Breaststroke almost all the times. I have confirmed this flaw with other swimmers that use various Garmin watches. I have got the same wrong results with my old vivoactive 3 watch.

I would suggest Garmin adding an option to manually select the correct stroke type in pool swimming activities. Otherwise Garmin should improve the algorithm that detects the stroke type.

my freestyle is mostly detected as breaststroke too. i just ignore it but prior watches in the past performed better in terms of style detection.

was working fine on 13.26.

Haven't had a chance to try it on 14.36.

Style / technique vary slightly from swimmer to swimmer. I mainly swim front crawl and for me F5P since 2018 and now F7 just don’t recognize my stroke.
