watch doesn't want sync with wifi - they want first connect with " mobile app " -- they cannot be used without " mobile " for " cloud sync to web app https://connect.garmin.com which is practicaly standard today
solution
watch are already ready for put credentials on watch only - have wifi and nice virtual keyboard -- so put credetials screen form into " settings / connectivity / cloud garmin "
