fix unlocking

level
bug

issue
I set " os / system / auto unlock / always " and set " os / system / hot keys / lock-unlock device " - and when was triggered " auto lock " I cannot unlock device (!) -- how I unlocked it I don't really know

assumption
seems like these 2 functionality are independent and doesn't share the " public variable " about " device state locked "

solution
both " auto unlock " and " manual lock/unlock " have to work together
• after auto lock , I have to be able unlock with manual unlock
• and after manual lock , I have to be able manual unlock , like it is now

  • Again - I really do not understand what you are saying (ps this is a forum - not a feature suggestion - there is a seperate way to suggest those to garmin - go to their support FAQ. You might also want to sign up for beta testing).

    Lock options:

Quickest are hotkeys. Can set lock device (locks/unlocks touch and buttons); can set touch (locks/unlocks touch).

Under settings - can set it for general use and can set it as as a default for activities (on, off, map use only).

You can change the default for activities via Power Modes - if you default for activities is off, you can create a power mode where touch is on - then for those activities where you don't want it off but would prefer to have it on assing the touch on power mode to those activity types.

Say you sometimes want it on for running and sometimes want it off for running. Default is off - so that is your standard running activity. Copy and save and call it Running touch on. Then assing your touch on power mode to this activity. Now can quickly select which one you want.

Or just use the touch on/off lock screen.

Really not sure they need to do anything else in this section. Maybe a lock buttons only option - though seems a bit pointless.

personally would rather see the gesture mode functionality get same level of options as touch does, as it is much more limited.
