Epix 2 Pro Buttons Sticking Really Bad

I took my brand new Epix 2 Pro 51mm Sapphire watch on its first proper backpacking trip this weekend. It worked great besides a crash (posted in another thread) and the 3 buttons on the left side of the watch (I wear the watch on my left arm) starting to stick. These buttons get so stuck that they're practically flush with the watch's housing. I didn't get that dirty at all but I did sweat a lot so I'm not sure if the salts in my sweat got in between the button and housing causing some kind of corrosion or extra resistance. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

It's ind of ridiculous to have these buttons sticking so bad on a $1000 watch that I have only had for a little over a month.

Ridiculous, but if you search the forums you will see it’s nothing new….

Had 4 Epix because of faulty buttons. Now 51mm is still good since release.

I followed it and that new button feel came back. Buttons are working perfectly now. I just need to remember to clean them every now and then to get my sweat out of them.

Swapped out three Epix2 Sapphire to get a fully consistent button feel. This lack of quality control is not new. If you need it replaced I am sure Garmin will not hesitate to help you out! Should not be like that.

I run, SUP and swim without any issues regarding the buttons. Suspect there is something with the spring and the housing it's inside.

Have opened up an old Fenix 5 that had problems with sticky buttons and it helped to remove everything (besides the button) clean it out and shower the buttons, especially the springs with silicone spray. Like new!

Having this issue after a sandy trail run. It's been run through the shower once but hopefully the bowl of water will solve, thanks for the link!
