Disable Map crosshair

(Prefix: I just recently updated to beta 14.30. IDK if this is a new beta feature or not as it's never bothered me/noticed it until now for whatever reason.)

I have touch-enabled for 'Maps' on my watch. I often tap on the map to bring up the zoom +/- options and/or to pan around. The watch, however, is placing a cross-hair on the map and attempts to determine the intersection or location for where I've tapped. This interferes with my attempt to move the map around. Further, if I'm in the middle of an ultra (as happened last weekend), the watch is already taxed heavily with navigating a huge course and the whole map adjustment becomes laggy/cumbersome.

Is it possible to disable the cross-hair and location information displayed?

I’m running 13.22 Public release. I think what you’re seeing is normal behavior.

I also have touch enabled when I’m in a map. I do notice that it puts a crosshairs and tried to determine cross street etc.

However. If I don’t tap, but instead touch—and leave my finger there, and move, this does not happen. E.g., I raise my wrist and see the map. To the left there is a + and a -

If I tap, I get a cross hair and it displays my distance to that point.
but if I touch and just begin dragging, the map moves fluidly and I do not see a cross hair until I let go. If I double tap, it zooms in…and THEN displays cross hair.

As far as I know in 13.22 there’s no way to turn off the crosshairs, but I’d like to see it become an option for a long touch.

Re: lag time on display. Maybe the size of your course, maybe the beta. Not sure. (PS: why would you install a beta just before running an ultra?!!? )

Seriously though, Spotify is flat-out broken on 13.22 and I really wanted my tunes.

As far as tap and drag, you're right, that's the behavior I'm seeing. However, I just flat out don't need the location information and correcting user behavior when my brain is already mashed potatoes... no good. I just want to disable it.

I’m using Spotify with no issues in current FW version. I had some trouble with earbud connections, but working now.
