Does Garmin app shows run or workouts in different HR zones or no ?
What do you mean?
You have the different zones after every workout...you can see in which zone you are during each workout.
Trying to figure out which zone I need to be in for maximum results .
you can use daily suggested workout which will provide you a balanced increase to fitness while reducing the risk of injury.
Alternatively you can do something similar by using training status, load focus in conjunction with training readiness and acute load. Keep acute load in upward tracking fashion (ideally green optimal band should also be upward tracking) - load focus to keep it balanced i..e if anaerobic load is low then look to increase intensity in that days workout with a focus on intervals or similar to get some anaerobic trianing in; if low aerobic then something that will provide reocovery - base benefit etc.
You can create workouts and use them for that day i.e create one where focus on zone 2 running for say 30 mins or distance - will then add additional workout page to your tracking activity with focus on keeping in zone 2.
or just adjust tracking pages so have HR zone on main tracking page and keep an eye on it. Can also set up zone alerts for a specific zone.
There is a host of features that the watch offers - up to you on how you use them and which method you prefer.
I don’t create specific workouts. Just track workouts I do .
Do you mean how to configure the watch so it helps you to stay within a certain zone?
This can be done by creating a custom training (via connect app) where you can set a target hr zone (or pace) for the workout and uploading it to the watch.
In running mode you can then select a training from the library by long pressing 'menu' and navigating to 'trainings'.
