fitness tracking over multiple activities not possible?

I wonder if it is possible to get an overall fitness tracking of multiple sport activities (Running - mountain biking- Tennis - ski hiking also.) on my epix 2

As far as I understood: the fitness level is related to specific activities only ( Vo2 measurement for running or Biking)

I can't believe that a watch for 700 euros can't do what my old Suunto did quite well!!

  • Every recorded activity is used to generate your fitness stats. Also Vo2max is calculated from more activities. Read the Garmin help pages.

  • VO2max is only one training metric - Garmin uses a host of other metrics to provide an overall training status which covers/includes most activities that you can track with your Garmin (as long as a load score is calculated its included within your training status).

The training system is based on impact of most activities that you can track. Would suggest reading under running science, physiological measurements: https://www.garmin.com/en-GB/garmin-technology/running-science/physiological-measurements/

Endurance Score (new metric - on Pro series only at the moment, but in the latest beta - so if original epix would need to download the beta or wait for current quarter offical update -

"Endurance score is a feature on selected Garmin devices designed to connect the dots between fitness, training and your ability to sustain performances over long periods. Your endurance score is a dynamic number that increases and decreases to reflect changes in your endurance. Higher scores reflect more capacity for longer performances.

Built from the ground up to deliver a true multisport perspective, every activity you record with heart rate contributes and enhances understanding of your endurance1. A flexible approach allows you to benefit from new insight while enjoying whatever activities keep you going and going.

Which activities contributed the most to the development of your current endurance capacity? You can see them listed as icons at the bottom of the screen."

Might be the one number item you want to use.....
