does anyone else experience this too. i have very small scratches on my sensors of my garmin epix pro. I only do running and after exercising I rinse it off in the shower with plain water and nothing else. then I dry and clean it with a microfiber cloth. but now I notice if you hold it close to the light that there are small scratches on the sensors and this already within 2 months! does anyone else experience this and would it affect the measurement? please let me know
During the day, more dirt (dried sweat, etc.) accumulates there, which also do not affect the measurements.
Such micro-scratches have no significance for measurements.
thanks for your answer. do you experience the same? and do you know if the back is glass or sapphire? I suspect that it is made of glass.
Mine is under direct natural light. I have some very light scratches on my 6 from 2019 and none on my 5 from 2017. Go figure.
for € 1050 I can not hope that the sensor breaks. but it's nice that it still works

This my Fenix 7 SS after 19 months of only being removed from my wrist for charging once a week, or to wear another watch occasionally for a couple of hours. It gets washed along with me in the shower with no special rinsing or drying. I can't find any evidence of scratching on the sensor window.
