Anyone else have a corrupted file after downloading HR from HRM Tri HR monitor to the watch?

I got my Sunday long run in. Then saved it and hit download HR from my HRM Tri to the Epix 51mm Pro. I hit back during the download as I had to pay for my snacks with the watch, then recommenced the download.
The file appears to work in the watch but won’t upload auto or manually to Garmin connect.

If you want to attach your fit file here, we can try to repair it for you.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

Just curious why you chose to download the data from the strap after running? If you are wearing the strap and it is connected throughout then there is no need to download the data subsequently.

Probably no good logic to it - a little while ago I noticed the that downloading the data from the HRM seems to change the Training Effect outputs (often seems to shift it towards anaerobic a little). I don't think the default data is picking up from the optical hr sensor but that was my first thought when I noticed it.

Probably adds no value and just adds a failure point but I would be interested to understand the difference between the live recorded (via ANT+ link to HRM) and the after activity download from HRM.

Fixed using Fit File Repair Tool

Some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files:

Sync your device then remove all activity fit files from your Garmin device using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device
Check for firmware updates using Garmin Express

HRM-Pro, Pro Plus, Tri, and Swim will sometimes corrupt activity fit files

Use the HRM download feature only after an activity where it was not possible to wear the watch
Update the HRM firmware How Do I Update the HRM-Pro Software Using the Garmin Connect App?
During the HRM-Pro download process keep the strap and watch in close proximity
If issues persist even after the firmware update, contact Garmin Support
