Gaps in stress, HRV and sleep data

I have problems with gaps on measurements my Epix pro 51 mm sapphire.

I'm experiencing a lot of gaps on HRV graph, Sleep grah and stress graph. especially during night. Most often when I go to the stress on my watch it says "measuring". Anybody else experiencing this and have a fix? The HR has also been all over the place during the last nights. The watch is tight on my wrist. I had Fenix 6x pro for 3 years before and never experienced anything like this.

   Hi,

  • I'm seeing exactly the same issue on first night using the watch. So far I was using Fenix 6 pro for 2+ years, I have  never seen such thing! Have you found a solution?

  • I’m seeing the same after receiving the 14.68 update.

Large gaps in HR, stress, body battery.

However, there are no gaps on the watch, only in the Connect app, so it seems to be some kind of sync issue.

Had my epix for 1,5 years and never seen this issue before so I suspect it’s linked to the recent watch and/or Connect software updates.

  • I experience the same sync issue. Marq Athlete 2 with 14.68. Everything is fine on the watch.

  • No, regrettably, the issue remains unresolved. On average, the watch records Heart Rate Variability (HRV) at only 50% during most nights. I've even replaced the watch with a new one, yet the problem persists. I've attempted wearing it on both arms, adjusting the tightness, but not a single night has yielded a 100% accurate reading.

Previously, I owned a Fenix 6X Pro, which consistently provided 100% HRV readings each night. The upgrade has been a significant disappointment. Despite multiple software updates since buying this new watch, there has been no improvement.

Regarding the watch's data graph, it appears complete, but I suspect it employs interpolation to fill in missing data, as the watch displays peculiar straight horizontal lines where data gaps shows on Garmin Connect app.

  • Had similar issue with Fenix 7s and Venu 3 during day time stress tracking, with gaps, which I have never seen on other garmins, not sure with sleep measurements though, didn't  notice (and returned the watches already)

Was wondering if it was a battery saving feature or something I hadn't figured out. Apparently more people having the issue

  • I only seem to have Gaps (Unmeasurable) in the Stress graph (Body Battery) Heart Rate and HRV are ok? Bloody typical Garmin, I've had the Epix Pro one day and I'm already on the forum. Just replaced my Fenix 6 Pro I've had for 4 years that was trouble free all that time, Stress, HRV, Heart rate worked flawlessly. Had no end of trouble with Edge 1040 Head unit but I thought the watches were ok.

The weird thing is, it seems to have trouble measuring rest , if I'm active it measures it?? (looks like it started having trouble 1:30 - 2am last night) I shall give it a few days then I'm on to Garmin Support, £1000 watch should just work!!

Anyone seen this, has any ideas? I'm not doing anything different to when I wore my Fenix 6 Pro.

  • Did anyone face this issue as well with Garmin series? I have a Fenix 7S Pro SS and having issues lately with the measurements: it depends of the day, but always min gaps or lot of.

    Yesterday:

    the day before

in the watch itself there are no gaps, but because I think the way the format of the graph is in the fenix 7s pro ss, since it just continuous the line where the gaps are.

Does anyone know how to fix it? I don't have any gaps in HR measurements during the day or night.
