This applies to any Multisport activity with less than three (3) activities, and I can't find why this is so in the manual.
Can someone, please, explain me why?
Thank you!

If you mean auto transition, I think it has been deleted.
For manual transition you use the lap button.
Overall, the swimrun activity is in need of an overhaul. An auto transition that actually works is needed and from a Strava point of view a way to consolidate a swimrun to a single entry.
I can only speak for Swimrun and Duathlon (run/bike) but I've never used Transitions as they don't really exist. What other Multisport activity do you want transitions?
Ahh, you mean transitions like in triathlon? Those are, as far as I know never used in swimrun since we dont change any gears...
Lap button doesn't changes activity but doesn't track the transition itself just like in Triathlon. But this only happens if Repeats are enabled.
Have you tried disabling Repeats? Transitions show up for me both for Duathlon and Swimrun if I disable repeats.
You swim with socks and shoes on, and run with your goggles and cap? I may also use a buoy bag to hold my stuff and keep me a bit safer during the swim.
Anyways, as I mentioned already, disabling Repeats enables Transitions and I don't understand why.
I have a SwimRun activity. With repeats enabled I don't get transitions as expected. With repeats disabled I get a run then a swim and then the activity is completed. No transitions. But as mentioned I would not expect them. I'm not seeing any transitions in my SwimRun activity with or without repeats. How many activities do you have for your SwimRun? I have only Run and Swim.
OK. I think I see what you might be doing. For a SwimRun activity it's usual to only have one Run and one Swim in the settings and have repeat on. If you put more than that ie Run, Swim, Run, Swim, etc then you get the Transitions as you've said. However, that would not be the usual way to set up the SwimRun activity. I think the Transitions should not be there for a SwimRun activity no matter how many Swims to Runs are there but that is not what Garmin appear to be suggesting. As already noted, transitions are not usually a thing for SwimRun events but if you want them then you put in the number of Runs and Swims for the event and go for it. The last one I did though had 24 runs and swims so not one I'd set up like that. Easier to have Run, Swim and Repeat.
I've just created a Duathlon with only Run and Swim. With Transitions set to On I get a transition between the Run and the Swim. With transitions off I don't.

That's true but usually there's no transition time as it's rolled up in either the run or the swim. My wife did one a couple of years back and carried fins in a bag on the run, and put her shoes in the bag (fins on) for the swim. The time taken to switch between the run and the swim and vice versa was part of that swim or run leg. For the people at the pointy end there really is no transition.
