Cannot install topoactive maps with Garmin Express

you never had a problem with map update until now. if you go to map management what does it tell you

It tells me I have no topoactive map on the watch (and make sense, it’s brand new).

That’s why I wanted to install via GE using my Mac as I always did. But not working this time.

I could try via wifi directly from the watch, but would be a neverending option…

try restarting your watch and repeating the procedure.   but on the map manager of the watch it tells you that you have some map

Tried but not worked. I’ve also tried to install only the Central Europe instead of the whole Europe, but same issue.

what I see is that GE is very slow, says 3 h for the download where in the past it took less than 1h… don’t know if this is somehow linked to my problem

you could try with a win pc, but I don't think that's the problem... at this point try to install it from the clock even if it takes a long time

I’m trying: will take 6h… via watch is not possible to download only part of Europe. Will se tomorrow morning if it succeeded

Installation via watch seems to have succeeded. At least in the map manager now reports topoactive europe and I see around me cities, streets and points of interest. In the weekend will test it hiking the mountains

Unfortunately it take hours if the MapManager is used for these big maps. Garmin should finally revise the maps/Express and the MapManager, so that the customer is able to download only the maps that are wanted/needed instead of spamming the memory with countries one will never use/need. 

Ya, totally agree with you. Also, Garmin should give opportunity to easily cancel golf and sky maps, that for some are totally useless.

Finally, user experience with Mac should improve: mac + garmin express is terrible, is a must to use aft but not optimal option.
