Epix 2 won't connect BT or WIFI after 13.22 update

Hello,

All was great with my EPIX 2 until I was yesterday prompted to update the software version to version 13.22

after the update, the watch and phone immediately lost connection, and the watch is not able to re-connect to the BT or see WIFI networks

Is there a quick fix? revert to older SW version?

Your Bluetooth syncing issues are unrelated to the Wi-Fi issue that we had on our side that was just fixed. Your BT issue is most likely strictly your watch unless you cannot Bluetooth sync to another…

I reported this issue several days back so you are not alone

Its obviously a firmware bug as the watch works until it updates from earlier firmware it shipped with to 13.22

if you are reffering to re-booting etc. then yes

Followed this:

If your phone will not connect to the watch, you can try these tips.

Turn off your phone and your watch, and turn them back on again.
Enable Bluetooth^® technology on your phone.
Update the Garmin Connect app to the latest version.
Remove your watch from the Garmin Connect app and the Bluetooth settings on your phone to retry the pairing process.
If you bought a new phone, remove your watch from the Garmin Connect app on the phone you intend to stop using.
Bring your phone within 10 m (33 ft.) of the watch.
On your phone, open the Garmin Connect app, select or , and select Garmin Devices > Add Device to enter pairing mode.
From the watch face, hold MENU, and select Connectivity > Phone > Pair Phone.

I've followed the trouble shooting steps and nothing seems to work. Is there a way to put the older version. Back on which I had no issues on

I end up backup the file, do a full reset and restore the file, it work fine now

Yes, I have the same issue, but on the watch, that has a lot of apps and data fields installed. On the watch that is mostly vanilla, it works fine, I guess it must be related to a lot of customization.

So I end up plugin the watch to the computer (as MTP), and it shows as a device,

I back up the GARMIN folder, Then I remove Bluetooth and remove from Garmin connect.

Do a hard reset on the watch

Then re-pair with Garmin connect, and let it sync

Then I copy the file from restore I want into the newfiles folder (sub folder of GARMIN folder)

I did not restore the Apps folder and Copy the Activity folder over

Reinstall the apps manually

I have to reconfigure the glance and the apps (when pressing on the start/stop button)

Some data won't be in the watch since it's a hard reset, but it's in Garmin connect, so do not bother me much

Probably there is a better way, but not in the mood for debugging
