Like the new view but think they could have made better use of the screen. The fonts are too small on the upper and lower fields. Does this look the same on the 47mm version?

personally think the perimeter view is probably the one to go for.
Too small when you are running.
In that case I would opt for the full-screen map, with 2 datafields at the bottom (which was actually always an option even on the original Epix 2). Unless you really need that 3rd datafield... at the cost of losing half your map.
I like that Garmin added this new splitscreen map option, but honestly I can't imagine any scenario where I'd personally ever want to use it. I'll either use the 2 big datafields at the bottom of the full-screen map, or I'll use the new perimeter datafields.
Don't forget the radial data fields around the map. Also small font, but readable for slow activities like hiking.
Yep that's what I meant by perimeter datafields, I'm not sure on the terminology they're using for it but I believe we're referring to the same thing
perimeter datafields
Sorry, missed that.
I did use it on my run yesterday (split view) and it was ok. The original map view with datafields over the top the numbers aren't always clear depending what's on the map. A little outline round the numbers would be so much better.
