Always on display during activity not functioning

I’ve had an issue appear this week whereby the ‘Always on during activity’ is enabled for the display. However, during activity’s such as run and bike, the display turns off and will only turn on via gesture or hitting the light button.

Any ideas? Was working fine a couple of weeks ago

I am sorry there is an issue. It is an odd issue to randomly develop but I am hoping it might resolve for you by resetting your watch.

Please try the following:

Soft Reset: Hold down your top left power button until your watch shuts off then let go of the button.

Reset to Default: How to Reset Default Settings on My Garmin Outdoor Watch

have you by any chance got another power profile settings created and used for activity - which has the always on turned off?
