Anyone know if the Epix 2 connects to the iphone garmin golf app? It shows under my devices, but does not connect.
Yes. As long as you have Bluetooth paired your Epix 2 through your Connect Mobile APP and leave it open to run in the background of your iPhone, when you open your Golf APP, you will see your watch connected under More > Garmin Devices.
If you continue to have any issues, try the following:
- Ensure both your Connect Mobile APP and Garmin Golf APP are updated by checking your Apple APP store.
- Remove your Epix 2 from your Connect APP (More > Garmin Devices) and remove your watch from your iPhone's Settings > Bluetooth menu using the Forget this Device option.
- If your Epix 2 also still shows in your Golf APP under More > Garmin Devices > slide right side to the left across your iPhone display on top of your Epix 2 to get the Golf APP to offer you a red "Remove" banner to remove your Epix 2 out of the Golf APP.
- Bluetooth pair your Epix 2 directly through your Connect Mobile APP again. When you open your Golf APP, your Epix 2 will show as "Connected" and will be in your More > Garmin Devices list.
Ok, well, it says epic 2 is “registered to garmin connect”, but when I select “Porsche epix 2”, it says “this garmin device is registered to your garmin connect account, but has not been paired to your iOS device”. Which is not correct, as it’s showing connected via iPhone Bluetooth.
When I had the Approach S62, it showed it syncing and connected at the Home Screen once I launched the golf app. Now with the Epix 2, it shows nothing synced. I have to got to “garmin devices” where it is listed, with the same message I noted above.
Thank you for testing further. I suspect your issue is directly related to the Epix 2 "Porsche" model. It might be your watch software side but my gut instinct is leading to our Golf APP as the more likely cause of the issue that our engineering will need to fix. I sent you a PM message. Just a heads up - my Epix 2 is NOT a Porsche model and I’m having the same experience as 3529213
Couple of posts up where Chris says to disconnect the watch from connect app and repair it. Followed exact instructions and now shows connected to golf app and green contours are back.
Well, I followed these instructions plus those tips listed in the Connect app and successfully got it all sync’g!
