Should Training Plans automatically sync?

I started a Garmin marathon training plan, I remember when it first synced, there was a message about 'too many workouts' or something on the watch.

Anyway - followed the plan over the last week or so, but coming in to this week, there are no today/future workouts on the watch, and I have to manually sync them one-by-one.

There aren't 'too many workouts' - besides this plan, I only had 2 custom workouts I use for weights.

Am I doing something wrong? Have rebooted watch, synced from Mobile app, from Watch via Wifi, and from Garmin Express, deleted all Workouts on the watch and repeated...makes no difference.

  • I’m running settings you should see ‘daily suggestions’ with the name of your upcoming race under it. If that is still there, you should be getting your sugggetions.

inside that option you should see the training plan for the next week, and the ‘Plan Overview’ option.

check to make sure you there is a current plan phase there, ie. build phase or peak phase. If not, you may need to recreate the delete and recreate the race in your calendar.

  • No, the daily suggested workouts based on planned events are in there just fine, I'm talking about the training plans as found under - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/training-plan?type=Running -

I have one activated, which worked for the first week, but now the only way I can get the Workouts onto the watch is to manually sync them individually, which isn't how it is supposed to work (I've followed the training plans previously with no issues).
