Just saw a DC review of 965 and user interface finally takes advantage of OLED screen. Is it comming to Epix with the next update?

Just my 2 cents here... Personally I'm happy with the current Epix UI. Really not a fan of the "fancy" look of the 965 and venu-like UI.
Epix UI looks more minimalistic & kind of professional…
You are over reacting just for an UI and a little bigger screen ? It is not too much ?
Epix UI is just "basic" but the features stay exactly the same for all Fenix and Forerunner series.
You…
As a software developer I believe that there is a shared codebase between devices, so I hope it comes in next firmware updates; at least the style of the menus, etc.
Epix has less than one year and it…
I doubt it. The Epix 2 is an Amoled Fenix 7. Even if it weren't, they've never even ported a watch face or added Forerunner complications to existing watch faces. So, if you expect a complete UI overhaul with the next update, prepare to be disappointed.
An AMOLED screen is not a MIP screen.
Currently, for me, the screen of Epix is very underused versus others competitors UI.
Venu series has a better UI like the new 265/965, than Epix.
I am curious what is the technical explaination could be tell for justify that ? < (@Garmin ?)
The firmware process can explain because it is common with F7... but it is time to split it now !
From my point of you, Epix has none hardware limit if you acccept to reduce the battery's autonomy.
But it isn't about AMOLED vs MIP. It's about the Epix 2 being part of the Fenix 7 family.
I think, more to the point, what's the difference now between the Epix and the 965, except the latter is about half the price. What are Epix owners getting for the much higher price, except less battery life?

Epix has less than one year and it will probably keep aligned with the rest of the AMOLED watches.
I really hope the new interface will come to the Epix, it's really nice and would be a great improvement for our AMOLED display
You would be shocked at how fragmented garmin's different product firmware codebases are. I recently purchased D2 Mach 1 which -- by all accounts -- is litteraly an EPIX variant with couple extra aviation-specific features, these watches run same version # of firmware. I love my EPIX so surely I will love D2M1 ..... WRONG!! The AOD display on D2M1 works totally different from EPIX - I found multiple flaky differences in settings and behavior vs EPIX. In fact, I found the D2M1 to be completely unusable for me: the dimmed AOD screen is too dark to read under any lighting condition. I spent hours on phone w Garmin, sent them side-by-side videos of EPIX vs D2M1, they just said "yep, D2 is designed to work differently". Imagine a guy who has owned and loved EPIX for a whole year finding that D2M1 utterly will not work for me!!
♂️ crossing my fingers that this is not the case.
Yes totally agree - I too hope they bring the various UI elements from the 965 to the Epix. Really liking the way all that looks on that device....
I read in the dc comments there, it is not coming. It’s a pity as the gradients looking very nice…
