Charging Speed: PC vs. external USB charging brick

In case someone is interesting in shorter charging times: I used to charge my epix2 via a usb port on my PC.
For the last 2 charging procedures, I used an external charging brick. Here are my measurements:

PC
- 2023-01-22 12:30|100% | - |Epix2, 2h 28 Minuten, 243mAh, 17%->100%
- 2023-01-28 12:30|100% | - |Epix2, 2h 25 Minuten, 269mAh, 12%->100%

Brick
- 2023-02-07 10:30|100% | - |Epix2, 1h 32 Minuten, 246mAh, 16%->100%, Ladegerät
- 2023-02-12 19:30|100% | - |Epix2, 1h 30 Minuten, 254mAh, 13%->100%, Ladegerät

So charging via the brick takes only 60% of the time of charging via PC. Pretty amazing.

all to do with the powet each ports can output.
not sure how much ur power back can do, but i think most of the PC USB - can only output 0.5A.

The battery of the watch has a capacity of 300mAh. Loading it with 0.5A should take 40 minutes. So I don't think this is the limiting factor. Must be something else in my opinion.

hm.. maybe they just do output maximum power. maybe usb can do 0.5a but do less, and then power banks can give even 2a but give less than that (but more than pc )

hehe :) one way to check this is to plug in one of those usb power meters that would give the definite answers :)

The battery of the watch isn't 5V though so be careful with your sums. Better to work in Watts for this stuff.

Some words of my motivation for the initial post: People told about the increased charging speed of the Marq2. I got one of these and it is quite OK. Since the PC slot was used by the Marq2, I charged the Epix2 on the charging brick. And realized, that it reaches a similar speed as the Marq2 there. So:

- Epix2 @PC: Slow
- Epix2 @Brick: Fast
- Marq2 @PC: Fast
- Marq2 @Brick: Fast
