Pairing problem Android 13

I try to pair Samsung Galaxy s9 with LineageOS 20.0 (Android 13) with Epix Gen2 (ver 10.46).

When I start Pair Phone on watch, watch is recognized in Connect and second screen of wizard is shown, but then at screen Connecting your EPIX Gen2 with msg "Completing setup of your EPIX Gen2 device" nothing happens and after some time I'm get msg "Pairing failed" with Retry button.

Bluetooth on phone works perfectly, Bluetooth headphones works, also sharing files works.

If I downgrade phone to LineageOS 19.0 (Android 12) , pairing works.

Yes, I tried some suggestions found in this forum regarding Android13, nothing worked.

So, do you have some suggestions what else to try to make it work?

I am having the same problem with both Android 13 and iOS 16.

On Android 13, it doesn't even trigger the Bluetooth pairing request. When I try to add the device from Android, the phone is trying to connect and the watch is waiting for the phone to download the Connect app.

On iOS 16, the phone immediately prompts to connect via Bluetooth, or the watch will too and the codes match and they are successfully connected, but the Connect App doesn't detect the model and then after manually selecting the model, the phone is stuck in "Searching".

The watch software version is 11.28 so it is the latest update. It was working with my older Android phone which was paired when it was on Android 12 and now running Android 13.

I have tried the troubleshooting like OP, and even removed the device from the connect app and tried reading it. No luck

Yesterday I updated watch to firmware 11.28, but problem exist.

If it helps on agalaxy s23 (android 13 - Qualcomm) it pairs without issues and connection is stable

maybe dont use roms on android and you wont have a problem

You probably have original Samsung rom?

Yes, I'm now stuck with android 12. But when you buy watch for 1000€ you expect to work with latest software (windows, android, ios...).

What's is interesting, that a lot of people have same problems, I already check for possible solutions suggested on this forum, but there is no official explanation or acknowledgment from Garmin?!?

I'm on new S23 also. Was switching from a S22 but it refuses to pair. I will try resetting the watch tonight
