no update shown Epix Gen. 2

Hi,

I am a new user and got my Epix Gen.2 today. Started playing around and to download another wtch face, but got a message, that my Gen. 2 needs to be updated before.

But in Garmin Expres and Garmin Connect no update is shown. The Version there is 6.57

Help?

Current version is 10.44. You can try connecting to Garmin Epress - that can sometimes help trigger it. Make sure that your update settings are on and set to auto.

Just got my Epix yesterday. Was on stock , but somewhat like 8 i think. Connected to garmin express, it still showed after map updates still the old version, but as soon as i disconnected it said, update to 10.44.

Best tip is Garmin connect, i am pretty sure it will work for you

Thank you! Tried Garmin Express and Garmin Connect, both didn't work. At least found the update function at the watch itself and that worked

I have the same problem, I am new user. Can you help, this is my 2nd day I have watch, tried all troubleshooting I could find here.

The best way is to use Garmin Connect from your smartphone, and connect your watch to personal WiFi network.

You can also use Garmin Express from your computer Windows or Mac

I already tried Garmin Connect no luck. Garmin express probably will be the same.

On a watch it says software is up to date.

This is pretty bad first time use user experience guys. And this happens after my Fenix stopped working so I upgraded to epix.

I am seriously considering sending this epix back to Amazon.

I also ja a lot of trouble getting the watch to work at all. Garmin Express worked for me for the updates and reinstalling the faulty maps.

I still have a lot of issues after two months. Finally the battery life is great and the training functionality seems to work now after 100h of my free time and no help from Garmin.

But there are still a lot of small issues. So I can only advise you to test the watch fast and find out about all the bugs and then think carefully about it if you can live with them. If not send it back fast to Amazon since they usually do not make any problems with that.
