I have issues seeing datafields when the font size is small. I have a fenix 6X and am afraid to regret switching it to Epix 2.

epix2 vs fenix6x non saphire with a 4 field datascreen as example.
actually you are slightly incorrect - max datafields for the Epix 2 is 8 (due to the higher resolution).
The difference in data fields between the F7x and Epix is only shown when you add gauges, where…

I think its marginally smaller - but the resolution on the Epix is like double that of the F6x - so to me its a lot cleaner and more visible - though there are some portions in widgets where the writing is just tiny (i.e. your baseline range on the HRV status) where its possible to read but only if holding watch really still.
Remember you can change your tracking screen layout - fewer data fields = larger numbers.
Fwiw, I switched from 7X SS to Epix due to visibility of the screen. I do pool swim and I struggled seeing my 7X a lot when taking a break at the wall.
Epix has changed my life. Much clearer and brighter.
I never looked back at my 7X since I got the Epix.
Hi.
No, they are not, Epix2 screen size is like Fenix 7 which is smaller than Fenix 7X.
Fonts will be a little smaller, also number of datafield during activity will be lower (F7X - 8 datafield max, F7 and Epix 2 - 6 datafield).
All these informations are in manual and product advertisements on Garmin web page.

The difference in data fields between the F7x and Epix is only shown when you add gauges, where the Epix for some reason can't carry quite as many as the F7x and still retain visible gauges.
