Sleep being recorded during the day outside of sleep schedule

Has anyone else recently had your Epix 2 decide mid-day that you're sleeping, even though your sleep schedule is at night? I wouldn't say it's common, but I've probably had this happen a half-dozen times at least during the time I've had the Epix 2. The main issue I have is, once it randomly determines that you're sleeping during the middle of the day, your sleep metrics for the night before are over-written - causing me to (assuming I notice the abnormality) go back and guesstimate my actual sleep time from the night before. For someone that tracks their metrics, it's a bit of an inconvenience and seems avoidable.

I did see a post in the Fenix 7 forum, but it looks like the last activity was about 7 months ago, a few SW versions ago.

I still have the issue and I am on 10.44. Have been in contact with Garmin and sent examples with images for some time now when watch registered sleep while watch TV or work with computer outside sleep window. Also when watch replace good nights sleep with a nap during the day. I have sent samples when this happened and just get response this week that they are still investigate the issue

last evening my watch registered a 3,5 hour of sleep while watch on TV and it replaced the good nights sleep for that day. As a result my sleep history was affected, which in turn affected my training readiness, which in turn affected the Daily suggestion. I rely on the data being correct for the planing of my Runs. This is so disappointing how a short sleep (and a faulty one too) could replace a longer correct sleep that occurred during the sleep window.

I Have provided new data to Garmin Chris about this. I understand that it is not easy thing to do a good sleep algorithm.

However a shorter sleep during same day, correct or not, should not replaces a longer one (that also happening during sleep window) I am a bit disappointed and I Really hope that Garmin can provide us with a fix for this bug soon

I put my watch into sleep mode and slept 3 hours as I have an upcoming night shift. The watch overwrites your night’s sleep if you sleep for more than 3 hours. Garmin please fix this. This f*cks up my sleep score, recovery time etc.
