10.44 -> indoor rowing -> stroke rate field always zero although it gets recorded in activity

The title pretty much sums it up: since 10.44, when indoor rowing with the unmodified indoor rowing activity, the main screen shows HR, time and stroke rate. Stroke Rate is always 0 (and I wear the watch on the wrist). The stroke rate does get measured and recorded, as I can see it later on the garmin app or on garmin connect (chart, average, etc).

Has anybody experienced this? Has anybody tried indoor rowing with 10.44 and is not having this issue? Any ideas on how to correct it? Thanks. Oscar.

I figured out what my problem was: if my indoor cycling smart trainer is not unplugged, the rowing activity will connect to it (thinking it could be a smart rower?) and then…

Just to make sure, are you connecting to the rower and getting that data from the rower or it is measuring from the wrist movement itself? In my case, I'm not connected to the rower, it's the accelerometer based measurement, and it used to work in previous firmwares.

Epix not connected to our rowers (we have two), only via acc-based-measurement. Works, the watch shows stroke rate. just tested it again to be sure :)

I figured out what my problem was: if my indoor cycling smart trainer is not unplugged, the rowing activity will connect to it (thinking it could be a smart rower?) and then it will display zero stroke rate, which is probably the information it gets from the smart trainer. If I unplug the smart trainer, I get again the troke rate measurements displayed on the watch.
