I am a bit confused too:
It took 3 weeks to measure a baseline, but ever since I am getting readings around the bottom end of the scale though I am on holiday, I don't feel bad and did not train much.
So is the baseline incorrect or is there something wrong with me?
Don't want to compare different situation as HRV is really personal but it works pretty well for me.
Beginning of November i changed country and i stayed for the whole month in a Hotel...i was not really stressed but the room was hot and the AC really noisy...i did less trainings plus the change was from nearly 0 elevation to 2300m.
Beginning of December i moved to an apartment...same country but it's different and the room is pretty cool during night. Trainings still in the lower end.
22nd December i had a flight of 14 hours more or less and the days before it, were a bit stressful due to various reasons.
Definitely not stressed with family but i did nothing special for Christmas...no big celebrations with a lot of people or whatever.
A lot longer sleeps and 0 trainings in the last 4-5 days and HRV is skyrocketing
Software's errors are always possible but try to see if there's anything that could be different from another period. Different environment, trainings in a different timeframe, different food(during christmas it's common to eat more). Keep in mind that happiness can be stressful too for the body.
Hi,
I've also seen that my HRV is abnormally low recently, also around 20 points lower than it should be.
I've been on holidays for last 2 weeks with correct sleep, exercice just a little alcool drinking.
I'll see how it adapts when back in my usual routine.
HRV status is impacted by far more than just your training activity, though reduced activity actually could decrease your HRV. There are a host of factors that could be impacting your HRV: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/garmin-technology/running-science/physiological-measurements/hrv-status/
just a little alcool drinking. --> more than enough to knacker yoru HRV status, especially if drinking at night - as I find that it can impact HRV for at least 6hrs post drinking, though there are ways/methods to burn through this impact quicker.
I had a balanced HRV until a hangover…. took a week to get HRV back in to balanced!
