Reset move bar with an activity

The move bar is for walking activity. You need to do up to 200 steps to reset it. 

I think you are right, but that is against the purpose, which is to prevent cardiac diseases, and any activity raising the heart rate would be good to reach the goal, so if it is really limited to walking then Garmin needs to rethink it...

But in case steps is the only solution, is there any sensor which will make the watch think I do steps when my feet move on the pedals ?

Instead of relying on the move bar, you could monitor your intensity minutes.

"The American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes of moderate exercise on a weekly basis. Your age, weight, height, and resting heart rate calculated by your Garmin watch also factor into intensity minutes. "

Yes, there is the accelerometer in the watch, so if you attach the watch around your ankle, it detects the motion. However, you may need to select a non-cycling activity, since steps are not being counted in cycling activities. Not sure whether the move bar would clear, despite no steps counted. I have this feature disabled.

Btw do you know of any watchface which can show todays accumulated intensity minutes ? I seem to only find the weekly accumulated. I would like to have focus on the daily goal rather than the weekly...

I am now using the intensity minutes as target, and have chosen a watchface with daily and weekly progress bar. Thank you for the advices ️

I use the indoor bike to get intensity minutes, and I have actually found that it resets my move bar. So when asked to move, I jump on the bike
