Why Haptic Alert for *ON* course?

When following a course during an activity (run / walk), I had haptic feedback for "off-course' disabled, but I get numerous haptic notifications that I'm "on course".  I can't find the setting to disable this haptic feedback' and I REALLY don't want that particular notification.  Count me among those not understanding the need for such an 'on course' notification AT ALL (once you know you are off-course, you'd be paying attention to the map and taking measures to get back).

Is there a way to disable "on-course" haptic feedback?  I like having 'off-course' haptic functionality when I want it, but 'on-course' is a waste of precious battery in my opinion and also causes me to have to look at the watch to see that its an event I don't care about.
